Gerdau is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for its Monroe, MI facility.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include mechanical maintenance and repairs of all plant facility and equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor is to maintain this equipment so that it is reliable, efficient and dependable within the maintenance quality objectives. This position requires experience in supervision and all aspects of mechanical equipment and knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, water circuitry, welding, basic electricity, overhead cranes and able to read blueprints. Responsible to use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to administer spare parts, purchase material and services, PM and work order development, and the development of asset information. Work closely with other maintenance supervisors to ensure smooth transition on assigned jobs.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related field; Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
8 years of experience with mechanical and electrical equipment and troubleshooting to include hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, water circuitry, welding, basic electricity, and overhead cranes
5 years supervision experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Previous steel mill experience preferred
Microsoft Office proficiency
AutoCAD or similar CAD program preferred
Previous experience with a CMMS preferred
