Gerdau is currently seeking a Project Engineer - Electrical for its Monroe, MI facility.

Responsibilities:
To provide in-house Electrical Engineering services including technical assistance to Production and Maintenance departments, research and development, project management and coordination with outside consultants.
Coordinate in plant construction activities for installation of new plant equipment or modification to existing equipment, which may involve maintenance, production personnel, and/or outside contractors. Coordinate meetings as needed with the personnel who requested or will be affected by the new or modified equipment. Prior to the installation or modification of the equipment the Senior Project Engineer (E) may request quotations, develop installation schedules, and assist with fabrication details. This position must also ensure that the maintenance or construction personnel have accurate reference materials to install all equipment conduit, wiring, control desks MCC's, switch gears etc. required for a successful electrical outage.
The major challenge of this position is to insure that equipment purchases or designs being developed are durable, economical and easy to fabricate and install. Installation or modification of equipment is to be accomplished with the minimum amount of outage duration and be at or below the approved budget.
The Project Engineer (E) job functions may involve high and low voltage distribution systems and equipment, DC drive systems, instrumentation and control, programmable logic and computer control, and electrical machinery. Within these areas, work may include design, specification, purchasing, supervision of construction and installation, commission and trouble shooting of new or modified equipment.
Enforce lean initiatives and current quality standards within the department.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of five years of project engineering experience in the field in a manufacturing/industrial environment required
Knowledge/Experience of Power Distribution Systems
Knowledge/Experience of engineering documents, and demonstrated proficiency with Excel, MS Project and AutoCad
Experience in planning and executing capital and expense projects to support operations.
Basic Ethernet and networking skills and understanding (understand IP addressing, subnets, masking, DHCP and other network terminology)
Computer knowledge (able to install operating system, programs, tie to network, do backups and updates)
Knowledge/Experience of RSLogix PLCs programming, setups and firmware updating.
Knowledge of Rockwell's ControlNet, DeviceNet and EtherNet IP communications.
WonderWare HMI programming and communications set-ups.
Must understand single phase and 3 phase electrical circuitry.
Other PLC programming. (Reliance Automax and Automate, Siemens PCS7).
Must have ability to prepare detailed scopes of work working closely with employees on the shop floor and the Maintenance department.
Working conditions warrant extreme temperatures. Incumbent must have ability to successfully work in this type of environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
