Description Position Goals:
Perform and lead financial, operational and regulatory compliance audits and assist with special projects.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Prepare work papers reflecting the results of audit assignments.
Complete planned audits and special assignments in a high quality fashion and ensure the deviations from corporate policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, other control weaknesses and opportunities to enhance operational efficiency are communicated to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Recommend effective internal controls to promote accurate processing of transactions, safeguarding and protection of corporate assets, prevention of fraud, ensure regulatory compliance as well as fairness of financial information.
Prepare audit reports for management and the Audit Committee identifying deficiencies noted, recommended corrective action and provide status of corrective steps being taken.
Effectively communicates the audit process and results to both the audit manager and management.
Monitor accounting standards and regulatory changes and perform appropriate tests to determine if operating procedures and controls are in place to ensure compliance with the new requirements.
Develop and maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport between the internal audit department and officers and employees of the bank.
Review work of subordinates for accuracy and completeness.
Provide feedback and training to new and existing employees to enhance audit quality and effectiveness.
Ability to complete entire audit project from planning phase to report issuance.
Monitor progress and perform validation on internal audit and regulatory recommendations.
Manage internal audit resources and activities to ensure maximum efficiency.
May require IT experience in general controls& controls around information technology development.
Position Requirements:
Education - Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or related field OR Associate degree/two (2) years of college
two (2) years of related work/military experience OR four (4) years of related work/military experience (plus any additional required experience listed below).
Experience - A minimum of three (3) years' of auditing or accounting experience.
Other - Attainment of or working towards a minimum of one internal audit or financial services related certification or designation.
Preferred Requirements:
Financial services experience.
Auditing experience in the financial service industry.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification and/or other Financial Services or Auditing certifications.
Qualifications Education Bachelors of Accounting (required) Experience Attainment of or working towards a minimum of one internal audit or financial services related certification or designation.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
